My Fellow Americans: Imagine if you will a country run by kids. I am Daniel Kirby the kid who is doing this. Us kids have rights and feelings to. According to the Constitution of the United States of America a man must be 35 years of age to run for the presidency. To quote the constitution "No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years( not for long though), and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States." Now if the idea of me or any other kid running the country doesn't float your boat, think of it this way: I ask you this: Is a 35 year old man more equipped to run the country than a 34 year old? Is a 34 year old more equipped to run the country than a 33 year old? You see where this is going? I say of course not. And if you didn't know this already the Constitution can be changed with voting and things. And its not as if the president is that powerful either. If you didn't know this the president has to get approval of Congress to make or waive a law or start a war. Except in a state of emergency. Like the president who bought the Louisiana territory. He didn't get approval of congress. This does sound like a movie or the book like The kid who ran for president doesn't it? Well the kid in the kid who ran for president in the book won! Hey if I was president I might just rename Air Force One Skate Force One. But does that mater? Do you care? You adults out there only care about paying your taxes and stuff. If your a kid to then I bet your with me of course. Thanks if you are. Adults have been president for too long. A kid doesn't know how to ruin the country but an adult does. So adults can destroy the country but kids can't. A kid should be president of the YOUnited States. This is a free country and this is the generation that should run it. I bet you adults don't even know how I made this site with the flags waving and stuff. About the flag with the eagle the arrows mean war and the branch means peace and that's why the eagle looks that way. The thing is we still live in a children should be seen and not heard world. Adults shouldn't make rules for kids without our consult. Let me give you a scenario. A principal of a school makes a new rule that the students can't play soccer at recess because people have gotten hurt. Fair? Unfair. People could get hurt anywhere. The chair your sitting in could break right now. (Well you might not be sitting but you get the point.) You could trip jumping rope. Once I was riding my scoter on the sidewalk and there was one of those breaks in the sidewalk where it goes up. It's the biggest one in my town. I tried to bunny hop it (bunny hop: scooter jump) and I tripped in the air. That could be anyone. So adults shouldn't make rules for us without hearing our side of the story. Get it? Of course you do. Oh yea and when I am president I'll be a member of an Independent party because that's what America is, Independent.
